1 thought on “Episode 66: The Hermeneutics Episode”
As a pastor of youth and as someone who teaches Hermeneutics at a Bible college, I loved this episode and I am glad you spoke on the topic. Thankful you shared the posture we need to take in studying Scripture. Actually, this past week I started the Hermeneutics course for this semester and I listed humility and submission along with dependent and diligent as our posture. The class discussed the faulty quesiton, “What does it mean to me?” and taught to ask instead, “What does it mean?” I also set one of the guiding principles as “Scripture interprets Scripture”. My hope is to put together a resource accessible for laypeople and young people to do hermeneutics rightly. Case in point, a wonderful episode!
